Summer Reflections and a New Season Ahead

by Lacey

Summer has come and gone, bringing with it plenty of traveling and treasured time with family. We made it a priority to soak up every moment with our friends in Tennessee while also keeping our eyes on the future move God has placed before us. June was filled with pool days and church camp, and July took us on the road for both family visits and fundraising opportunities.

Our summer concluded with a meaningful trip to Kansas City for the Free Will Baptist National Convention. One of the highlights was a special commissioning service where we were officially sent out as missionaries through North American Ministries. Having friends there to show their support made the moment even more memorable.

As the school year begins, I find myself holding mixed emotions. This marks my 18th year in the classroom, and I’m deeply grateful for the relationships built with students, families, and colleagues along the way. At the same time, I’m reminded that God’s plans often look different than our own. Psalm 18:30 encourages me with the truth that His way is perfect.

Looking ahead, this season promises to be full. We’ll continue fundraising, keep our kids engaged in school and activities, and spend intentional time with friends and family. Most importantly, we’re committed to sharing our mission to take the gospel to Bozeman, MT. We’re also devoting ourselves to Bible study and prayer, trusting that God will use this time to prepare and strengthen us for the ministry He has called us to.

We know the days ahead will stretch us, but we’re confident in the God who called us. Each step brings us closer to planting a new church in Bozeman, and we are thankful for the prayers, encouragement, and support that make this journey possible. Our desire is that everything we do in this season—whether in the classroom, at the dinner table, or on the road—points others to Christ and prepares the way for lives to be changed by the gospel.

Thank you for walking with us. We can’t wait to share more of what God is doing in the months to come.
